Featured Project with Kari Whitman Interiors (KWI)
Who wouldn’t dream of a serene industrial escape in their own kitchen or bathroom? Granite and Marble Designs worked alongside Kari Whitman Interiors to create this stunning stone design in Boulder, Colorado.
This space was reimagined from an old grocery store and transformed into a loft sanctuary with earthy tones and grungy textures. The moss greenery with the stone makes for a beautiful contrast that is modern, yet simple. It is easy to see how this stone of choice completely transformed this home into an entirely new space.
Kitchen Design
The kitchen in this project is unlike any you’d ever seen. The stone is Absolute Black Granite that was given a brushed finish. The brushed finish gives the stone faint textured ridges and eliminates any sheen. This blends with the exposed architecture and rustic elements, such as wood and brick, that you see in this design.
Black is a neutral color that will never go out of style and is beautiful for all spaces. We couldn’t imagine another stone besides black granite countertops for this kitchen. This stone ties everything together to bring an industrial design into this home, creating a sleek, yet minimalist space.
Bathroom Design
In the master bathroom’s shower and toilet room, we used full height stone slabs for the wall and flooring to eliminate as many seams as possible. The double vanity is also made from Nilo Limestone fabricated with custom undermount sinks. The vanity connects to the shower to create one cohesive design that flows naturally.
In the guest bathroom, there is a full stone slab behind the toilet. It is also used for the flooring which is continuous into the shower. The double vanity in this bathroom floats on a wall of beautiful Nilo Limestone. The custom stone sinks and built-in shelves are attached to full slabs crafted for enclosed walls. Our team did an excellent job making the vanity come together into a design that fits the space naturally.
