Kitchen and bathroom countertops in Denver

We make kitchen countertops of every kind: perimeter counters, islands, bar tops and backsplashes. We also do bathroom vanities, shower and tub surrounds, fireplace surrounds and outdoor kitchens. Homeowners hire us directly. So do contractors, custom home builders and designers, and the process doesn’t change.

If you’re replacing old laminate or tile, we can take the old tops out for you. Our demolition crew removes the existing countertops, backsplash or vanity tops before install day, so the 1990s laminate is gone before the stone arrives.

Granite, quartz, quartzite or marble: which countertop fits you?

Our design consultants will walk you through each material, including when one probably isn’t a good fit for how you cook and clean.

Granite

Natural stone, very hard, and it handles heat well. It’s porous, so it gets sealed. Granite is one of the first materials we offered when we opened, and our installers work with it all the time. See granite countertops.

Quartz

Engineered from mostly natural quartz crystals plus resin and pigment. It’s non-porous and never needs sealing, which is why people with busy kitchens like it. It isn’t heat-proof and it can fade in direct sun, so we don’t recommend it outdoors. See quartz countertops.

Quartzite

A natural stone that often has a marble look but is a lot harder than marble. It holds up to heat and UV, so it works inside and out. It’s also harder to cut, so fabrication takes more care and more time. See quartzite countertops.

Marble

Beautiful, but soft. Lemon juice and wine can etch it. Some people love the way it ages and some don’t. Marble is a natural fit for bathrooms and fireplaces; for kitchens, we’ll go over the upkeep with you before you decide. See marble countertops.

We also fabricate porcelain, onyx, and travertine, limestone and soapstone.

How a countertop job works with us

  1. Free estimate and design consult. Tell us what you’re doing, or bring your plans or cabinet sizes to the showroom. We help you narrow down the material, edge and finish.
  2. Pick your slab. You can choose from the slabs in our warehouse, or meet one of our design consultants at a supplier yard. We work with eight stone suppliers around the Denver metro and buy at wholesale.
  3. Template. Once your cabinets are set and your sink, faucet and appliances are on-site, we laser-measure the space and build a digital template.
  4. Layout and sign-off. We photograph your slabs and lay the template over them so you can see where the veining and seams land before anything is cut. You or your representative sign off.
  5. Fabrication. We cut on CNC equipment and finish the edge profile you picked. This usually takes up to about a week after you approve the template.
  6. Install. Smaller jobs usually take 2 to 3 hours, and larger kitchens can run 5 to 7 hours. We bond the seams with color-matched epoxy, level everything, seal natural stone and clean up.

One thing to plan for: we don’t connect or disconnect plumbing, so you’ll need a licensed plumber to hook the sink back up. We’ll tell you ahead of time if you need a plumber or an electrician.

From first visit to finished countertops, most projects take a few weeks.

The best way to pick a slab is to stand in front of it. Two slabs of the same granite can look pretty different, and a 4-inch sample won’t show you the movement across a full sheet.

Our showroom and warehouse at 5676 N Pecos St, Unit A, Denver, CO 80221 are open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Saturdays are by appointment. Call ahead and one of our design consultants will walk the slabs with you and go over options and your timeline. Bring your cabinet sizes or drawings if you have them and we can get you a more accurate quote.

We also carry in-stock full slabs and remnants. Remnants are a good way to save on a vanity, bar top or small kitchen.

FAQ

How much do countertops cost in Denver?

Price depends on the material, the specific slab, the square footage, the edge profile and the number of cutouts. Two kitchens almost never price out the same, so we don’t publish a price list. Send us your measurements or plans for a free estimate, and for small jobs, ask about remnants.

How long does a countertop project take?

Most projects take a few weeks from the first visit to finished countertops. Fabrication usually takes up to about a week after you sign off on the template, and install day is typically 2 to 3 hours for smaller jobs and 5 to 7 hours for larger kitchens.

Will you remove my old countertops?

Yes. We offer demolition and removal of existing countertops, backsplash and vanity tops, so the space is ready when we install.

Can I pick my own slab?

Yes, and we recommend it. You can choose from the slabs in our Denver warehouse, or meet one of our design consultants at one of our supplier yards to pick from their inventory.

Do you hook up the sink and faucet?

No. We aren’t permitted to connect or disconnect plumbing, so you’ll need a licensed plumber for that part. We’ll let you know ahead of time what to line up.

Do you work with contractors and designers?

Yes. We work with contractors, custom home builders, kitchen and bath designers, and commercial builders, as well as homeowners. If you have a designer, they can be the point of contact.
