Colorado Countertops

Countertops for Homes Across Colorado, Made in Our Denver Shop

Looking for countertops near you somewhere along the Front Range? Granite and Marble Designs is a stone countertop fabricator at 5676 N Pecos St in north Denver, cutting and installing granite, quartz, quartzite and marble countertops since 2007. Everything runs through one shop and our own install crew. You don’t have to live in Denver to work with us: we come to your home for the template and the install. The only trip we’d suggest is one to pick your slab in person.

Countertop installers near you, with one shop behind every job

Some countertop companies sell the job and send the fabrication out. We don’t. Every countertop is templated with a laser, cut on CNC equipment in our Denver shop and installed by our crew. A lot of stone countertop problems start with a bad template, rushed cutting or rough handling on the way to the house. When one company owns every step, one company answers for it.

What you can expect, wherever you are:

  • A free estimate. Send us plans or rough measurements, or come to the showroom.
  • Help choosing a slab, either in our warehouse or at one of the eight stone suppliers we work with around the Denver metro.
  • A laser template at your home once cabinets and fixtures are in.
  • A digital slab layout you sign off on before we cut.
  • Install day, usually 2 to 3 hours for smaller jobs and 5 to 7 hours for larger kitchens.

Cities we serve

We install across the Denver metro and up and down the Front Range.

Countertops in Aurora, Centennial, Highlands Ranch and Parker

In the east and south metro, the process matches Denver’s. You get a free estimate, we template at your home and our crew installs, for a new build or a single bathroom vanity. If you’re in Highlands Ranch or Parker, see our Highlands Ranch and Parker pages.

Countertops in Lakewood and Arvada

If you’re replacing older tile or laminate tops on the west side, we can handle the demolition and removal, so the kitchen is ready for the new stone.

Countertops in Thornton and Westminster

These are close to our shop off Pecos Street, which makes it easy to swing by the showroom and see slabs on a weekday.

Countertops in Boulder and Longmont

We do kitchens, bathrooms and commercial countertops in Boulder County. More on our Boulder countertops page.

Countertops in Fort Collins and Greeley

For Northern Colorado jobs, most people visit the showroom once to pick a slab, then we handle the template and install at your home.

Countertops in Colorado Springs and Pueblo

Same process for Southern Colorado. Ask us about scheduling when you request your estimate, since we group out-of-metro templates and installs.

We also install in the mountains. See our Frisco page.

Picking the right countertop material

  • Granite: natural, very hard and good with heat. Needs sealing.
  • Quartz: engineered and non-porous, so it never needs sealing. Not for outdoor use, because it isn’t heat-proof and can fade in direct sun.
  • Quartzite: natural stone with a marble look and a lot more toughness. UV resistant, so it works for outdoor kitchens.
  • Marble: soft and it will etch. Great in bathrooms and on fireplaces; in a kitchen, it comes down to how you feel about patina.

We also work with porcelain, onyx, travertine, limestone and soapstone.

Countertops on a budget

If you’re doing a vanity, a bar top or a small kitchen, look at our stone remnants. Remnants are leftover pieces from full slabs, so they’re the same stone, just smaller, and they usually cost less than buying a full slab. Stock changes all the time, so call or stop by to see what’s in.

What to have ready before we template

  • Cabinets installed, level and secured. Stone is heavy.
  • Your sink, faucet, cooktop and other fixtures on-site, or their exact specs.
  • A plan for the plumber. We don’t connect or disconnect plumbing, so you’ll need a licensed plumber after install.
  • A clear path from the driveway to the kitchen. These slabs are big and fragile.

Why people outside Denver still drive to Pecos Street

The slab you see online isn’t always the slab you get. Every slab of natural stone is different, and even quartz varies a bit from batch to batch. We keep dozens of slabs in our warehouse, and our showroom is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with Saturdays by appointment. From some cities it’s a drive. Seeing the actual slab first still saves a lot of surprises on install day.

FAQ

FAQ

Do you install countertops outside Denver?

Yes. We install across the Denver metro and along the Front Range, including Aurora, Lakewood, Boulder, Longmont, Fort Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Ask when you request your free estimate and we’ll confirm scheduling for your area.

Do I have to come to Denver to get countertops?

No. We come to your home to template and install. That said, we encourage you to visit our Denver showroom or a supplier yard once to pick your slab in person, because every slab is different.

How do I find a good countertop installer near me?

Look for a company that fabricates its own countertops, shows you photos of past work, has real customer reviews and gives you clear pricing in writing. Ask who does the template, who cuts the stone and who installs it. At Granite and Marble Designs, the answer to all three is us.

What's the cheapest stone countertop option?

It depends on the stone and the size of the job, so we’d rather quote it than guess. For smaller projects, a remnant is often the most affordable way to get granite, quartz or quartzite.

How long does a countertop project take?

Most projects take a few weeks from the first visit to finished countertops. Fabrication usually takes up to about a week after you approve the template, and install day is a few hours.
