Granite and Marble Designs has been fabricating and installing stone countertops in Denver since 2007. Our shop and showroom sit at 5676 N Pecos St in north Denver, and every countertop for Denver kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces is cut in that shop. You choose the slab. We laser-template your cabinets, cut and finish the stone on our CNC equipment, and our own crew installs it. One company handles the whole job.
Kitchen and bathroom countertops in Denver
We make kitchen countertops of every kind: perimeter counters, islands, bar tops and backsplashes. We also do bathroom vanities, shower and tub surrounds, fireplace surrounds and outdoor kitchens. Homeowners hire us directly. So do contractors, custom home builders and designers, and the process doesn’t change.
If you’re replacing old laminate or tile, we can take the old tops out for you. Our demolition crew removes the existing countertops, backsplash or vanity tops before install day, so the 1990s laminate is gone before the stone arrives.
Granite, quartz, quartzite or marble: which countertop fits you?
Our design consultants will walk you through each material, including when one probably isn’t a good fit for how you cook and clean.
Granite
Natural stone, very hard, and it handles heat well. It’s porous, so it gets sealed. Granite is one of the first materials we offered when we opened, and our installers work with it all the time. See granite countertops.
Quartz
Engineered from mostly natural quartz crystals plus resin and pigment. It’s non-porous and never needs sealing, which is why people with busy kitchens like it. It isn’t heat-proof and it can fade in direct sun, so we don’t recommend it outdoors. See quartz countertops.
Quartzite
A natural stone that often has a marble look but is a lot harder than marble. It holds up to heat and UV, so it works inside and out. It’s also harder to cut, so fabrication takes more care and more time. See quartzite countertops.
Marble
Beautiful, but soft. Lemon juice and wine can etch it. Some people love the way it ages and some don’t. Marble is a natural fit for bathrooms and fireplaces; for kitchens, we’ll go over the upkeep with you before you decide. See marble countertops.
We also fabricate porcelain, onyx, and travertine, limestone and soapstone.
